Summer!

Swim lessons!
 Playing at a waterpark

4th of July Celebration at Provo's Freedom Celebration. Here's the hot air balloon festival...
And Mckay in a Humvee (sp?) at a really cool "Cries of Freedom" celebration
And Camden at "school" at the Colonial Festival
 Firework popsicles
And fireworks in the back yard.

And  Family Reunion time!  My brother played in Herriman's Beauty and the Beast.  Nate was so excited to meet Belle afterward!  The whole production was AMAZING, and I can't say enough good things about it!
Mckay and Nate climbing at the Olympic Park in Park City.  SO MUCH FUN!  (Despite thunder/lightning....)

Grandpa with Mckay, waiting to ride the ski lift to the Alpine Slide.  Umm.. we weren't supposed to let Mckay ride it down, but the slide attendant was a very nice guy from Poland who just didn't even ask.  So, we took him down and he LOVED it!
About to do the drop tower.  Yep, I'm 33 ish weeks pregnant.
Climbing rocks near Donut Falls.  Man, the hike was great but the end was precarious with little kids!

Feeding goats at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, by Grandma's house
Camden and Nate playing with Aunt Rachel's snake.  Isn't it pretty?

 Beach time!

Seven for Sunday

1. Happy Father's Day!  Ours included sleeping in (until 7:30 ish--quite an anomaly at our house, especially on Sunday!), wonderful church services, yummy french dip sandwiches, cherry pie, playing trains, enjoying a nice cool house, and phone calls to dads.  Hope yours was great, too!

2. Cutting concrete is something we hope to never have to do again.  It's hard!

3.  We discovered this set of DVDs called Liberty's Kids.  It's set of 40 animated episodes about the American Revolution especially for kids.  My boys love it, even if they don't quite grasp it all.  I like it because it teaches about the revolution from start to finish.  Walter Cronkite, Dustin Hoffman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Crystal, and Whoopi Goldberg are some of the voices.  They are also on youtube.

4. My boys were yelling the words to "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" at the top of their lungs today. Except Mckay says, "Chicken boom boom," which is funny all by itself.  I'm wondering if they'll have voices tomorrow.  :)

5. We discovered we have 2 nightshade plants in our yard after reading a KSL article about how poisonous it is.  It has these beautiful small purple flowers--you'd never guess it was a toxic weed!  But it's gone now.

6. This summer is going way too fast.  I love summer! Morning walks just for fun, park play dates, swimming, watching Camden read a book all day long, spraying boys with the hose/sprinklers in the back yard, playing in the basement when it's too hot, friends, short sleeves and flip flops, watermelon, lots of yummy fruit...I could go on and on!

7. I have about 10 weeks until this baby boy comes.  The right name is elusive.

Mr. Magoo is 2!

Mckay spent his birthday throwing up and staying home from church.  Sad day!  We did watch a movie in the afternoon, but he generally felt pretty awful.

Here's a little about Mckay:

~He hates being undressed.  HATES it!  He just begs for, "new shuht on me!" until he's dressed again.  When he had his 2 year check up, the taking his clothes off so the doctor could check him out was WAY worse than his shot.  Silly boy!

~He loves his Daddy.  A LOT.  In the morning, he either wakes up to eat bekast (breakfast) with Daddy, or he comes and snuggles in bed with me and insists on laying on Daddy's pillow.  Many times through the day, he'll say, "Daddy home soon. Daddy home soon."

~He can say just about whatever he wants.  He certainly can repeat anything we say to him, and he is eager to express himself.  Personally, I love love love it.  He often says, "thanks, mommy" or other sweet things.  He also loves to copy his older brothers.  Their favorite phrase right now is "Ooh -la-la, hi-ya!" complete with karate chop.

He is a charmer.  He is so sweet about it, but he is a little charmer!  It just melts me most of the time.  And I love it!  He has a good sense of humor (for a 2 year old), and tells us we're funny.  "Mommy bunny.  Daddy bunny."

He loves dirt, mud, shovels, digging.

He climbs really well--best to keep ladders to the roof under strict supervision!

He has some awesome dancer and loves his dance music.

He has some awesome facial expressions and practices sad, happy, angry, and (his current favorite) surprised faces.  Happy and surprised are definitely favored over sad and angry, which only last for a second or two before he starts giggling.

Brian says:

He's goofy.

He likes to help people feel better.

Pictures coming...
