Peter Pan

Yesterday, Brian and I got to go (by ourselves!) to see BYU's production of Peter Pan. It was fabulous! I was happily surprised--though upon further thought, I shouldn't have been at all surprised--that the music would be performed by a live symphony orchestra. Live music is so powerful to me! It was so much fun! I always have enjoyed the Disney version, but the live play is just delightful. Maybe I need to re-read the book...

Have a great week!

PS I've hit the 6-month mark! Only 4 months left til Little One #2 arrives!

2 year painting project, etc

Not really! Actually, 2 years ago I taped off our bedroom so we could repaint before we moved in. But, we didn't end up having enough time to paint as much as we thought, so our bedroom has been left unpainted. (Well, it had paint, just not a color we liked very much.) We're finally getting around to our bedroom, which I wanted done before baby comes. We wanted a darker color but weren't sure which one. My parents have also been painting, and bought several gallons more than they needed. Luckily for us, the color was about what we've been thinking! It has made our room feel so much cozier and more beautiful!

Before:

After (the tape is still up for a few touch-ups):

Table--Brian has been working on a table for my brother, who is babysitting his roommate's fish while the roommate is in China for a semester. It has turned out more beautiful than I imagined! Brian wants you to know it's made of Lyptus, Walnut, and African Mahogany-all from scraps that would have been thrown out at his work.

Lyptus veneer panels, Walnut trim, Mahogany accents (it still needs another coat or two of finish):

Closet--We (and I really mean Brian) put in shelving for our closet. He was able to add an extra shelf, which means we have a lot more space! I love, love, love it! He also adjusted the closet rods to make the space more efficient. Our closet feels so much bigger, even though there's more stuff in it.

Windows--We replaced our (4) windows, which had some broken seals and were forming ice on the inside. I love how we can take down the thick curtains and blankets and let light in. I also love how the heater turns on less often and especially how pretty they look! It's almost like we're looking through HD windows because they are so clear.

And, in case you weren't impressed with any of that, here's Camden eating a banana.

Follow the Leader

This video is rather long.

Camden loved all the extra space he had to run around at Grandma & Grandpa's house on our Christmas vacation.
