hot, hot, hot!

We have had an unfortunate and fortunate week with our air conditioner. Unfortunate in that our unit (which is 32 years old) died. Fortunate in that we were able to get a small window unit for our bedroom (which should be installed before bed tonight!) and that we are able to replace our unit. We are grateful for the Lord's hand in our lives that helps us to have the things we need.

We needed a board to put in our window over our new air conditioner. Instead of cutting 1/2" plywood with a utility knife (because it was quiet hours time at our condos), I ran an extension chord out to my car, shut the doors and used a jigsaw. It's the Honda Civic Mobile Workshop (except the extension chord part) now showing on your local PBS station right after The New Yankee Woodshop and This Old house.

You cut wood in your car? Hasn't that made it a little messy? :) I'm glad you are able to cool down a little bit! I can't sleep when it is too hot.

My car needed to be vacuumed out anyway, so I did that the next day.
