Painting and sewing

For the last few weeks, I have been off-track, so I have had some extra time to get ready for Baby to come! It has been wonderful. :)
Here are a few of the projects that are finished:

Curtains for the living room
Our window is long and short, so we couldn't just find a curtain set that would fit it. So, I looked for fabric to make some, but I just couldn't find what I wanted. So, I bought a curtain set, cut off the top, turned it sideways, and added the loops at the top. It feels good to have curtains!

Baby Quilt
The colors seem a little dull in the picture, but here it is! I love bright colors, and I am glad to be finished! I do enjoy creating things, but my favorite part is being done. :)

Painting

We've been painting--"apple red" and "muslin" in the kitchen, "bleached wheat" in the baby's room, "olde English" blue in the bathroom, and white for the ceilings. (We're not sure why anyone would paint a ceiling the color of a granny smith apple, but now we get to paint it back!)

Happy Wednesday!

Sounds like the two of you make a perfect couple. Brian with tools and you with a sewing machine. Very cute baby quilt and nice curtains.

So busy!!! Isn't it fun to have color on the walls (the color that you pick anyways). It's funny because I almost did the exact same thing for curtains in our master. What is up with these wierd sized windows. Mine is 96" long. WHAT?! Now I am doing some flat panels. We'll see how it turns out. Happy homemaking!
