Birthday Pictures

Well, I've finally gotten Camden's birthday pictures onto my computer, so here are a few. Sorry about the underlined words..I don't know how or why the line appeared, and I can't get rid of it. Hopefully, it's not too irritating to read. :)

Eating Spaghetti

New Haircut

Playing with birthday balloons

Presents from Grandma WilkinsonNew fire truck!

Birthday party with Brian's family (and my brother!)

Birthday with Michelle's family
Ahhhh....Sugar!

Well, the underline is gone. :)

Here is a quick update. Camden:
~Picked up a full gallon of milk.
~Loves to eat shredded wheat.
~Occasionally barks at dogs or makes monkey sounds to his stuffed animal monkey.
~Finally waved bye-bye!
~Walks to the door when we say "outside" or get our keys (most of the time).
~Loves to read stories (at least he loves to turn the pages while he jabbers).
~Will eat any cardboard box he can get.
~Loves anything with wheels. He has tried to take off with other people's strollers and shopping carts more than a few times!
~Likes to kick Brian's soccer ball around.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Camden!

Also, Brian graduated!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday, May 5, was our 4th anniversary. When I think about the length of 4 years, it doesn't seem very long, but when I think about our marriage, it seems like we've always been married.

We celebrated by having homemade cheese enchiladas. We love mexican food, so it's extra fun that we got married on Cinco de Mayo. I put up some simple decorations. Plus, Brian's boss sent him home early because it was our anniversary! It was lots of fun to spend extra time with him .

We like to give each other gifts that follow the anniversary gift list...Brian started it on our first anniversary. I had never heard of it. The first year was paper, second year was cotton, and the third year was leather. Anyway, 4th year is sort of hard...fruit or flowers. I was expecting flowers, because I love fresh flowers and it seemed so obvious. But, Brian likes to be more creative. I'll get back to that in a minute.

I had a hard time figuring out what I could do for Brian. Maybe if we had a big yard, I could buy a fruit tree. But I don't, so I cheated a little. I found an alternate list that said linen/silk was the 4th year gift. Hooray! That is much easier. So, I got Brian a beautiful green paisley tie. He really likes paisley, and it sort of looks like flowers. Plus, green is the color of plants, right?

Brian braved the women's clothing department at Kohl's (I am very impressed) and got a dressy white shirt (something I've been looking for for awhile) that has a flower print woven in. Alas, I despise women's clothing sizes. Why can't a small be a small, a medium be a medium, and a large be a large? Why are some larges really smalls, some mediums really larges or smalls, and some smalls really larges? It just didn't fit well.

Anyway, we had a wonderful day. It was much calmer than last year! I'll post more about that on Camden's birthday.

I am so glad he waited for me so I could marry him. I hope most people feel about their spouses the way I feel about Brian. Love you!

Good news, bad news

Good news: It's almost May!
Bad news: It's still snowing.

Bad news: Camden decided 5 or 6 am is his new wake-up time, not 8 am as previously.
Good news: He falls asleep reasonably well at nap time and bed time.

Good news: Camden is smart.
Bad news: He figured out how to unhook the long-handled spoon I put between two kitchen drawers to keep him out.

Bad news: Camden bangs his head and scrapes his knees a lot.
Good news: Camden is tough.

Good news: Brian's last class is tonight!
Bad news: Not a thing!

Bad news: I had to go to the dentist today. (Dental experiences seem to get worse as I get older.)
Good news: No cavities!

I guess life depends on how you look at it. :) Hope you have a "good news" sort of day!
