Guessing Game!

Here are some names of foods that Camden likes to eat. Can you match them up to what they really are?

1. moon cereal                                     a. chocolate milk
2. kangaroo cereal                               b. ketchup
3.  cakes and srip                                 c. Frosted Mini-Spooners
4. O's                                                   d. hot dogs
5. hogs                                                  e.chocolate pudding
6. ownjes                                              f. oranges
7. chup                                                 g.  tomatoes
8. chalk mulk                                        h. Raisin Bran
9. chalk puh-ings                                    i. Cheerios
10. tow-maters                                      j. pancakes and syrup

And the answers are:
1. Moon cereal = Raisin Bran (There is a picture of a sun on the box, and Camden didn't like "sun cereal", thus "moon cereal")
2. Kangaroo cereal = Frosted Mini-Spooners (There is a kangaroo on the bag.)
3. cakes and srip = pancakes and syrup
4.O's = Cheerios          5. hogs = hot dogs            6. ownjes = oranges
7. chup = ketchup         8/9 = chocolate milk/pudding
10. Tow-maters = tomatoes

Cubby, little tubby, all stuffed with fluff

Camden absolutely loves music.  He always has.  Except he never sings.  He may say a word or two if you stop and wait for him, but he never sings.

Throughout the day, he constantly asks for various songs, none of which are "real" songs.  But, I've learned you can sing about anything to almost any tune.  Anyway, today we first went on a big (jump) giant (jump) brown (jump) bear (jump) hunt, and we got safely home.  During the t-rex hunt, Camden looked terrified as we ran through the grass, climbed down the tree, swam across the lake, and got back home.  We talked for a few minutes about how t-rexes are all gone.
"No t-rex all gone".
"Yes, they are."
"Safe t-rex tree." (I think he meant we'd be safe from t-rex in a tree.)
"Mom would always protect you from T-rex.  I would climb this tall tree to keep you safe." (It's a good thing there aren't any around.)
"Mom climb tree. " (And, on to new topic)

Then, he wanted to go on a giraffe hunt, and I decided we'd better calm things down.    Along one of our stops, we had to go through sticky, stinky mud.  Camden called it the sunky mud.  So, then, at Camden's request, we sang (to tune of Wheels on the Bus) about how McQueen, Tow-Mater, Doc, Flo, and Ramone either got stuck in the sunky mud or got out of the sunky mud.

Willy, nilly, silly, big boy!

Seriously!

Nate's first real, full giggles!
(Seriously, don't watch--just listen!)

Seriously, part two....I saw a daycare sign that said "Now accepting infants."
It makes my heart break that some moms choose to send their kids to daycare when they really don't need to, and that some moms really do need to.  It breaks my heart because kids need their moms, and moms need the special, extra cute, extra happy, "first giggle" moments to balance out the "I need a drink of water at 2 am" or "I'm having another melt down" or "too much laundry" moments.
Thanks, Brian.  I love you for doing the sometimes irritating work so I can cherish my little ones.
