During the past week or so, here are some of the crazy
things my Nate has done:
~After going potty in the toilet, he looked at me and said
in his very sweet, innocent voice, “My bum is beautiful.” He repeated it, then added, “My hair is
beautiful.”
~He’s left a light on or the door open in the car, so it has
run out of batteries 3 times (in one week).
This means that Brian has to use his car to tow the van backward so that
the jumper cables will reach. The second
time (and third time), the car was so dead that the power doors wouldn’t open,
the back door, where Brian attaches the tow cable, wouldn’t open, the car
wouldn’t even go into reverse because there was no electricity to send the
signal. Aargh!
~He pulled almost all the letters off of a preschool poster.
~He dumped the Easter eggs (which we were using for preschool) all over the floor. Then, I sent him to pick them up and told him to put them in a pile. He carefully put each plastic Easter egg into a pile.......in the ashy, dusty fireplace. :)
~He loves to lie on his tummy on the tile kitchen floor to color. Brrr! But, he loves to color in a coloring book about letters. He talks to himself while he colors, “Go down, the across” or similar instructions about how to form a letter. It’s pretty cute. J
~He says, “oopsy doopsy artichokey” all the time. I love it!
~He speaks with somewhat of a British accent. It’s pretty funny and endearing.~A few words he says that are just cute: FLamily and chlocate, any word with a “th” sound sounds more like “hee” or (n). Hard to explain, but very cute.
~He thinks a lot of things are “amazing!”
~He ate a whole handful of cough drops while he was hiding in my bedroom.
~He has a toy that plays all sorts of different songs and jingles. He likes to do a crazy dance where he kicks his foot up and does a crazy foot dance to make Mckay giggle.
~After going poopy in the toilet, he said, “I had a Mickey Mouse poopy!”
~We were buying groceries at the store. IN the produce section, all of a sudden, Nate had a green bean in his hand and was eating it. Not on the list, but we brought home a handful of green beans. We really liked them, too!
~Ruined his church pants by drawing on them with dry-erase marker.
~Dumped the rest of a can of comet into the toilet to make the water turn green.
~Dumped two half rolls of toilet paper into the toilet (on
different days)~Dumped the rest of a can of comet into the toilet to make the water turn green.
~When eating a piece of pizza, I asked if he wanted it cut up. “No,” he said, “ I want to eat it like a MAN!” (Meaning to just pick it up. I have no idea where that came from!)
~ He thinks that being a big boy means he gets to wear underwear but no pants. Or pants with no underwear. Eesh!
On the McKay side of things, he's crawling everywhere! And pulling himself up. And the new phrase the boys say is "No, McKay, No!" We sure love this squishy round ball, even when he's slimy. :)
