Camden

Back in October General Conference, Elder Scott talked about the importance of scriptures.  He said,

"Great power can come from memorizing scriptures. To memorize a scripture is to forge a new friendship. It is like discovering a new individual who can help in time of need, give inspiration and comfort, and be a source of motivation for needed change."

When I heard that, I decided to start memorizing short scriptures with Camden.  We started with
"And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

We say the scripture we're working on a time or two each morning at breakfast.  Sometimes I choose one, and sometimes, Camden asks what a scripture person said.  When he asked for Captain Moroni, we learned, "In memory of our God, our religion, and our freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children."  He thought that daddies were important, too, so he always added "and our daddies" at the end. :)

So, when you think of Helaman, what is a main scripture that comes to mind?  A fairly long one came to my mind, but I thought we could just do part of it.  And Mr. Smartipants did it!  He learned the whole thing, with a few hints along the way.

And PS...Camden is a no-diapers boy!  Yippee!  Marshmallows did the trick.
