Eyes, Ears, Mouth, and Nose!

So Camden has decided that he would much rather be in charge of feeding himself than letting anyone else feed him. Of course when he's super hungry he wants us to be putting food in his mouth as fast as he can swallow it, but sometimes he just wants to be self-sufficient. The problem is that he's not very good at feeding himself. He can hold the bottle, but he hasn't figured out that he needs to tip it back so the milk will come out. Some of the best things he can do on his own are carrots, crackers, and anything big enough to hold while still shoving a good portion of it in his mouth. He mostly just sucks on the carrots, but he's started gnawing on them and getting small amounts of carrot off. Those might not last too much longer as a finger food for him. Anyway, here are some of the results of his food adventures.

Of course with a baby that messy you can't really do anything about it without getting messy yourself. Michelle actually just finished giving him a bath, which has made him very angry because he had to get out of the bathtub.

On another note, we have a speed-crawler on our hands. He's especially quick if he sees the entertainment center open (it's a good thing I finally got on the ball and put some doors on it). I promise we didn't just stick him up there for the photo op. He is fascinated by the dishwasher and worked very hard to get up there. The good news is that there was water on that door, and he mopped our kitchen floor when we pulled him down. He's also become quite proficient in opening the toilet. Needless to say, the bathroom door and the dishwasher stay closed most of the time, although he's very good at figuring out when we've left one open.
