Endings and Beginnings

Today I closed the teaching chapter of my life (at least for now).  With all the rush to get my room packed up, report cards handed out, class awards ready, etc., it hasn't really sunk in that I'm done. I am so grateful to be able to stay at home to be with Camden, and I wouldn't trade it, but I certainly will miss teaching.  I won't miss the tattle-telling or the never-ending grading and lesson planning (well, I guess there is an end), but I've learned so much as I have tried to teach these little munchkins.  I think I am more understanding because of my experiences.  I am grateful for them, even though they have been difficult.  Anyway, I am quite sure I will continue to learn and grow through the new experiences I will have.
