1. Where did you meet your husband?
Well, I was walking through Glenwood on one of my first Sundays there, and I heard a piano playing in one of the apartments. I was much more shy then than I am now, so I listened for a minute but didn’t go in. This was my first encounter with my sweet Brian.
2. How long did you date before you got married?
Well, our very first date was from the date box that our ward “date arrangers” organized. From that day, it was about a year and a half. But, from our first date, it was 11 months. From the time when we were “dating”, it was 10 months.
3. How long have you been married?
2 years, 9 months, 17 days
4. What does he do that surprises you?
Well, I can’t say everything….there are too many! Recently, though, he is doing such an amazing job balancing work, school, and taking care of me. He also retextured our bathroom wall—and it looks fabulous!
5. What is your favorite feature of his?
His giggles. He gets a little embarrassed, but I love them!
6. What is his best quality?
This isn’t a fair question—there are lots! I love his gentleness, his love of sharing the gospel, and the way he takes care of me.
7. Does he have a nickname for you?
Mostly “Dear”
8. What is his favorite food?
He really loves almost anything sweet, especially chocolate (Milky Ways and orange/raspberry chocolate sticks are some favorites). As for real food, he likes to avoid noodles and tomatoes.
9. What is his favorite sport?
Soccer!
10. When did you first kiss?
About a month and a half after our first date
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We enjoy reading together, but it doesn’t really matter what we do if we’re together.
12. Do you have children?
Almost! He is 2 pounds, 15 inches, and loves to move around!
13. Does he have any hidden talents?
Teaching, careful attention to details, making people feel comfortable, an incredible memory of general conference talks, and many more!
14. How old is he?
36 days away from being 29 years old!
15. What is his favorite music?
Mostly, he likes to listen to books on tape in the car. He does like classical, country, and a mix of other music.
16. What do you admire about him?
I admire his ability to teach and explain gospel principles clearly. I love him!
17. What's his favorite color?
Probably blue.
18. Will he read this?
Absolutely
19. Who said "I love you" first?
Honestly, I know this is terrible, but I don’t remember a certain time or place. He probably said it first.
