At school, the 2nd grade classes rotate for about 30 minutes each day for enrichment activities that the other teacher specializes in (if you can specialize in 2nd grade curriculum, which is pretty basic). So today, my students went to another teacher who does amazing technology lessons with them, and they did a "describing words" lesson.
As part of the lesson, students were supposed to use descriptive adjectives to complete the sentence... "The sunset was a ___________ sight." My students didn't want to do that sentence, though, and they decided to complete this sentence:
"My teacher is a _______ person." Here are some of my students' responses (in the order that they were turned in to me):
~satisfying, gorgeous, lovable, glamorous, extraordinary, awesome, precious, bristly, fabulous, tantilizing, huggable, tart, glorious, fantastic, stupendous, shining, pregnit (as spelled by my student), spectacular, frantic, flabbergasted, and expanded
I know some of the kids don't know what their words mean, but I was quite amused to read their responses. These are the fun times of teaching!

Hee Hee! Those were pretty funny. It seems like they really like you and that they notice that you are pregnant. Cute!
I think my favorite it flabbergasted.
Apparently you are very tantilizing:) That one is my favorite! They sound like the like you a lot! So fun!
kids are so honest! Hi Brian (and Michelle) I saw your blog from Juli's list. Hope it's okay I see you. It's been awhile, but you're still funny as ever! Congrats on your boy! (Boys are the best) Will you name him Brian after the other 37 people in his life? See you later.
P.S. Congrats Brian, she's beautiful!
